Contact Us

Reach a person, not a menu

Call, message, or stop by. Our member service team answers from our own contact centers, and the fraud line is staffed every hour of every day.

Six ways to get in touch

Pick whichever suits the question. Anything involving account details is safest through secure message or a phone call.

By phone

Member service at 800-555-0100. Average wait under three minutes on weekdays, and you can ask for a callback instead of holding.

Secure message

Sign in to online banking or the app and write to us there. Because you are authenticated, we can discuss balances and specific transactions. Replies come within one business day.

Live chat

Available in online banking Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Central, and Saturday mornings. Good for quick questions that do not need a document.

In a branch

Forty-two branches across our service area, most with drive-through lanes. Walk in, or book a specific time so an advisor is expecting you.

By mail

Use general correspondence for documents and disputes, and the separate payments address for loan payments so they post the day they arrive.

Around the clock

Lost or stolen cards and suspected fraud are handled at 800-555-0142, staffed twenty-four hours a day including holidays.

Numbers by department

All hours are Central time. Every line below reaches a Summit employee, not an outsourced call center.

Common questions

When is the shortest wait on the phone?

Tuesday through Thursday between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Central. Mondays and the first business day after a holiday are the busiest by a wide margin.

Can I email you about my account?

Please use secure message inside online banking instead. Ordinary email is not encrypted, so we cannot discuss balances, transactions, or account numbers over it.

Do you answer on weekends?

Member service takes calls Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Central. The fraud and lost card line at 800-555-0142 is staffed twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

How do I book an appointment instead of walking in?

Use the branch locator to pick a location and a time, or call member service. Appointments are available for account opening, lending, notary, and safe deposit access.

How fast do secure messages get answered?

Within one business day, and usually the same day if you write before mid-afternoon. Anything urgent should be a phone call rather than a message.

I am having trouble hearing on the phone. Are there alternatives?

Yes. We accept relay service calls, and live chat or secure message works well as a written alternative. Branch staff can also arrange an interpreter with advance notice.

However you reach us, a person answers

Member service is at 800-555-0100. For a lost card or suspected fraud, call 800-555-0142 at any hour.
