Digital Banking
Your accounts, always within reach
Online banking and the Summit mobile app share one login. Enroll once and you can move money, deposit checks, and freeze a card from anywhere.
What you can do once you are signed in
Everything below is included with membership. There is no premium digital tier and no monthly charge for any of it.
Deposit a check with your camera
Photograph the front and back. Deposits up to $5,000 a day are available the next business day, and often the same day before 4 p.m. Eastern.
Move money in seconds
Transfer between Summit accounts instantly, send to an outside bank, or pay another member by name. External transfers post in one to three business days.
Freeze and unfreeze your card
Misplaced your debit card at the gym? Freeze it from the app, find it, and turn it back on. No call, no replacement, no fee.
Set alerts that actually help
Get a push or a text when a balance drops below a threshold, a large purchase clears, or a direct deposit lands early.
Pay bills and pull statements
Schedule one-time or recurring payments at no charge, and download seven years of statements and tax forms as PDFs.
Apply for a loan without leaving
Auto, personal, home equity, and card applications prefill from your member record and usually return a decision in minutes.

The Summit app
One login for every device
The app and the website are the same system. Set a payee on your laptop at lunch and it is there on your phone that evening. The app is free on iOS and Android and requires no separate registration.
Enrolling for the first time
If you have never signed in before, use the Enroll link on the sign-in screen rather than trying to log in. It takes about three minutes.
Choose Enroll
On the sign-in screen, select Enroll in Digital Banking. New members can enroll as soon as the share account is funded.
Identify yourself
Enter your member number or Social Security number, your date of birth, and the ZIP code on file with us.
Confirm the code
We send a six-digit code to the phone number or email address already on your account. The code expires after ten minutes.
Set your credentials
Pick a username and a password of at least twelve characters, then turn on biometric sign-in if your device supports it.

Locked out
Resetting a forgotten password
Use the Forgot Password link under the sign-in fields. You will verify a one-time code sent to the contact information we already have, then set a new password immediately. Nothing is emailed to you in plain text.
Five failed attempts lock the account for thirty minutes as a precaution. If your phone number or email has changed, the reset will not reach you. Call the Member Service Center at 1-800-555-0148 and we will verify you another way.
Staying secure
Summit will never call, text, or email you asking for your password, your full card number, or a one-time code. Anyone who does is not us.
Use a unique password
A password reused from another site is only as safe as that site's worst day. A password manager and twelve or more characters solve most of this.
Treat urgency as a warning sign
Fraud works by rushing you. If a message insists you act in the next five minutes, close it and call the number on the back of your card.
Turn on two-step verification
It is on by default for new sign-ins from unrecognized devices, and you can require it every time from your security settings.

Common questions
Do I need a separate login for the app?
No. The same username and password work on the website and in the app, and a change in one place applies to both immediately.
Is digital banking free?
Yes, including bill pay, external transfers, mobile deposit, and electronic statements. Standard message and data rates from your carrier still apply.
Why am I asked for a code on a device I already used?
Clearing cookies, using private browsing, or connecting through a VPN makes the device look new to us. Choosing to remember the device on a machine you own reduces how often this happens.
Can I give my accountant view-only access?
Yes. Delegate access can be granted with read-only permissions on selected accounts, and you can revoke it at any time from your settings.
What should I do if I think my login was compromised?
Freeze your cards in the app, change your password, then call 1-800-555-0148 right away. Summit covers unauthorized electronic transfers reported promptly under Regulation E.
Can I connect Summit to budgeting software?
Yes. We support secure token-based connections to major personal finance apps, which means you never hand over your Summit password to a third party.
