Rates
Every Summit rate in one place
Deposits, autos, mortgages, home equity, personal loans, and cards. Published in full, updated each business day, with no teaser pricing hidden behind an application.
Savings, checking, and certificates
Dividends are compounded and credited monthly. Annual percentage yield assumes dividends remain on deposit for a full year.
Auto loans
Rates shown assume automatic payment from a Summit account and a credit score of 730 or above. Refinancing from another lender is priced the same as a new purchase.
Mortgages
Based on a $400,000 purchase, 20% down, a 760 credit score, and one discount point. Your rate depends on credit, loan size, occupancy, and property type.
Home equity
Summit pays standard closing costs on home equity lines and loans up to $250,000. There is no annual fee and no charge to draw.
Personal loans and lines
Unsecured, so there is no collateral and no appraisal. Funds usually reach your account the same business day you sign.
Credit cards
No annual fee on any Summit card, no foreign transaction fee, and no penalty APR. Variable rates move with the Prime Rate.

Common questions
How often do these rates change?
Loan and deposit rates are reviewed every business day and posted here the moment they change. Variable rates tied to the Prime Rate adjust within one billing cycle of a Prime move.
What does "as low as" mean?
It is the rate offered to applicants with the strongest credit profile and, on auto loans, automatic payment from a Summit account. Your approved rate may be higher, and we tell you the exact figure before you sign anything.
What is the difference between rate and APR?
The interest rate is the cost of borrowing the principal. The APR folds in points and lender fees, so it is the more honest number for comparing two offers.
Can I lock a mortgage rate?
Yes. Locks run 45 days at no charge once you have a signed purchase agreement, with a one-time float-down if market rates drop before closing.
Why are your rates better than my bank's?
Summit has no outside shareholders. Earnings above operating costs return to the 412,000 members as better deposit yields, lower loan rates, and fewer fees.
Does checking my rate hurt my credit?
Prequalification uses a soft inquiry that does not affect your score. Only a completed loan application triggers a hard inquiry, and we say so before you submit.
Put a rate to work
Open a certificate, refinance the car, or start a mortgage prequalification. Most applications take under ten minutes.
