Walk in, drive through, or book a time
Routine transactions rarely need a wait. For anything that involves signatures, documents, or a decision, an appointment means an advisor has already pulled your file before you sit down.
Common questions
How do I know an ATM is surcharge-free?
Look for the CO-OP logo on the machine or the welcome screen, or use the locator's ATM filter. If a screen offers to charge you a fee, cancel and find another machine nearby.
What is shared branching, exactly?
Participating credit unions serve each other's members. At 5,600 shared branches you can deposit, withdraw, and make loan payments on your Summit accounts using your ID and member number.
Can I deposit cash at a CO-OP ATM?
At many of them, yes. Roughly 30,000 machines in the network accept deposits, and the locator marks which ones do. Deposits made before 4:00 p.m. Central post the same business day.
Do I need an appointment?
Not for teller transactions. We recommend one for opening accounts, closing a loan, notary service, or safe deposit access, so the right person and the right paperwork are both there.
What are your holiday hours?
Branches close for federal holidays. The locator shows any upcoming closure on each branch page, and ATMs, online banking, and the app run normally throughout.
Is there a fee at an out-of-network ATM?
The machine's owner may charge one. Summit refunds up to $15 per month in out-of-network ATM fees on checking accounts, so occasional use costs you nothing.
