Credit Cards

Built for the way you travel

Triple points on travel and dining, no foreign transaction fees anywhere in the world, and coverage that steps in when a trip goes sideways.

What you get on the road

The three things that matter most when you are a long way from home.

3X on travel and dining

Airfare, hotels, rental cars, trains, rideshare, restaurants, and takeout all earn triple points, with no annual cap.

No foreign transaction fees

Most cards add 3% to every purchase made abroad. This one adds nothing, so a $200 dinner in Lisbon costs $200.

Trip and rental coverage

Trip cancellation reimbursement and secondary rental car damage coverage are included when you pay with the card.

Common questions

What counts as travel?

Airlines, hotels, motels, campgrounds, rental cars, trains, buses, taxis, rideshare, cruise lines, tolls, and parking. Booking through an online travel agency counts as travel too.

Does secondary rental coverage mean I still need my own insurance?

In the United States it pays after your personal auto policy, covering your deductible and what your insurer will not. Abroad, where you often have no other coverage, it usually acts as primary.

Do I need to tell you before I travel?

A travel notice is not strictly required, but it is a good idea. It takes about a minute in the app and cuts down on declined purchases in unfamiliar places.

What exchange rate do I get abroad?

The Visa network rate on the day the purchase settles, with nothing added by Summit. If a terminal offers to charge you in dollars instead, decline it and pay in local currency.

How do I file a trip cancellation claim?

Call the benefits administrator on the back of your card or file online within 20 days of the cancellation. Keep the itinerary, the cancellation notice, and any receipts for the costs you could not recover.

Can I transfer points to an airline program?

Not directly. You can book flights and hotels through the Summit travel portal at one cent per point, or take the value as a statement credit and book wherever you like.
