Check Your Rate

Your real rate in about two minutes

Pre-qualification uses a soft credit pull, so there is no impact to your credit score. You see actual offers with actual payments before you commit to anything.

What pre-qualification does and does not do

It is a genuine look at your credit, priced with our real rate sheet. It is not an application, and nothing about it obligates you.

No impact to your score

A soft inquiry is visible only to you and is never factored into your score. A hard inquiry happens only after you accept an offer.

About two minutes

Six fields and a soft pull. Most members have offers on screen faster than it takes to find their account number.

Real rates, not ranges

You see the APR you would actually receive on each term, with the monthly payment beside it. No "as low as" language and no bait figure.

Offers hold for 30 days

Take a week to think it over or compare elsewhere. Your quoted rates stay valid for 30 days as long as your credit profile has not changed.

Your data stays here

Summit does not sell or share pre-qualification data with lead brokers. Checking your rate will not fill your inbox with offers from strangers.

Covers several products

One check returns offers for a personal loan, a line of credit, and a consolidation loan so you can compare all three at once.

How the rate check works

Four steps, and you can stop after any of them without consequence.

1

Tell us the basics

Name, date of birth, address, and the last four digits of your Social Security number. That is enough to locate your credit file.

2

Enter income and the amount

Your annual gross income and how much you want to borrow. Nothing is verified at this stage, so no documents are needed.

3

Review your offers

A soft pull runs and your offers appear in seconds, with an APR and monthly payment for every term you qualify for.

4

Continue only if you want to

Accepting an offer moves you into the full application, where the hard inquiry and income verification happen. Walking away costs nothing.

Common questions

Is a soft pull really invisible to lenders?

Yes. Soft inquiries appear only on the copy of your report that you request yourself. Other lenders cannot see them and scoring models do not use them.

Will my quoted rate change when I apply?

Rarely. It can change if income verification does not support what you entered, or if something new appears on your credit file between the check and the application.

Do I have to be a member first?

No. Anyone can check a rate. Membership is required only to close a loan, and opening a share account with $5 takes a few minutes during the application.

What if I am not pre-qualified?

You will see why, in plain language, along with what would change the answer. Many members in that position start with a share-secured loan, which has no credit score minimum.

How often can I check?

As often as you like. Since it is a soft inquiry, repeated checks carry no penalty, though your offers will not change much unless your credit file does.

Can I check with a co-borrower?

Yes. Add a co-borrower at the start and both credit files are reviewed together, which often produces a better rate than either applicant would see alone.
