Our lowest rate, plainly stated

11.99% variable APR for every approved member. No annual fee, no balance transfer fee, and no rewards program paid for out of your interest.

For members who carry a balance

If the balance is not always zero at the end of the month, the rate matters more than the rewards.

11.99% variable, for everyone

One rate for every approved member. There is no risk-based tier that quietly hands you 24% at the end of the application.

No annual fee

Nothing to pay for the privilege of holding the card, and no minimum activity requirement to keep it open.

No balance transfer fee

Move a balance here at any time and pay nothing to do it. Transfers start accruing at the same 11.99% as everything else.

What 11 points of APR is worth

A $5,000 balance carried for a year, compared with a typical rewards card at 22.99%.

$600 Interest at 11.99% over a year
$1,150 Interest at 22.99% over a year
$550 Kept in your pocket

A card paying 2% back on that same $5,000 of spending would return about $100. If you carry the balance rather than clearing it monthly, the low rate is worth roughly five times what the rewards are. That is the whole argument for this card.

Common questions

Is 11.99% really the rate everyone gets?

Yes. Credit history determines whether you are approved and how large your line is, but not your rate. Every open Low-Rate Visa carries the same 11.99% variable APR.

What does variable mean here?

The rate is the Prime Rate plus a fixed margin, so it moves when Prime moves, usually a few times a year at most. We notify you in writing before any change takes effect.

Can my rate go up if I pay late?

No. There is no penalty APR on this card. A late payment brings a fee of up to $25 and, after 30 days, a report to the credit bureaus, but the rate stays where it is.

Why does this card have no rewards?

Rewards programs are funded by interchange and interest. Stripping the program out is what lets us hold the rate 11 points below a typical rewards card, and you cannot have both.

Should I use this instead of the Balance Transfer Card?

If you can clear the debt within 18 months, the 0% intro offer wins even after its 3% fee. If the payoff will take longer than that, a permanent 11.99% with no transfer fee is the better home for it.

Can I hold this card alongside a rewards card?

Yes, and it is a sensible pairing. Put everything you pay off each month on a rewards card, and keep anything you intend to carry over here.
